Input Method
The Input Method button is accessed through the OPTIONS form. This is reached by clicking the Show Options button or by the Options key [ .
The Input method cycles through the available methods. Currently these are:-
Uses any conventional keyboard attached to the computer. This is the default method and is described in Keyboard.
A Virtual Keyboard appears on the screen in the conventional QWERTY format. The operation of this method is described in QWERTY.
A Virtual Keyboard appears on the screen where the keys are arranged alphabetically. The operation of this method is described in Alphabetic.
Predictive
A Virtual Keyboard appears on the screen laid out to allow a minimum number of keys to be used and to facilitate Predictive Text input very similar to that of a mobile phone.
Operation is either via the Virtual Keyboard itself which is described under Predictive Virtual, or via the use of the numeric keyboard of a standard computer keyboard or an attached numeric keypad in the case of a laptop. The operation in this mode is described in Predictive Keyboard.
Switch Operation allows single or double switch input.
Touch / Key is specifically designed for touch screen operation on combination with mouse and keyboard.
